JAMB to Penalize Universities over Illegal Admissions

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board will penalize universities if they offer admission without validation on the JAMB profile page or offered through CAPS (Central Admission Processing System). The board said that universities should withdraw from such illegal actions.

According to the board, three public universities devised ways to offer candidates admission outside the CAPS on their portal. Universities persuade students to apply for a change of course on the JAMB profile after offering them admission. The JAMB has said that candidates that accept the admission, do it at their own risk.
