#EndSARS: Nigerians Reacts As Police Attack Flavour, Phyno, Other Protesters In Anambra
Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the attacked launched on the #EndSARSprotesters in Anambra by the police.
Recall Reach.ng reported earlier that as protesters marched to the headquarters of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) in Awkuzu, Anambra, today, gunshots allegedly by policemen could be heard.
Led by Chinedu Okoli, highlife maestro better known as Flavour; Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, a rapper better known as Phyno, Kingsley Okonkwo, singer better known as Kcee, were chanting “End SARS! End SARS!” as they moved the massive crowd of protesters.
It was learnt that the protesters converged in Awka, the state capital, from where they moved to the disbanded SARS office to demand that they shut down, the facility.
However, they started to hear gunshots being fired by the police.
Meanwhile, Nigerians who wondered why the police still chose to attack despite warning from their boss, the Inspector-general of police, Mohammed Adamu, have taken to Twitter to react.
See reactions below:
Disbanded, disarmed SARS who were immediately replaced by SWAT are still shooting at peaceful protesters days after their IGP read an address to the nation outlawing them. I don’t think we realise what it means that this is still happening. #EndSars

What is the @PoliceNG in Akwuzu trying to hide?
We won’t stop until a full investigation is launched into the SARS station in Akwuzu

We need to go there in full force!!! That place is an abattoir where ritualists come to buy human parts. There are some things I can’t say here for security reasons but trust me, gaining access into that compound will bring International Human Rights to Nigeria.
